CASA REDONDA, QUINTA DA SAUDADE
Casa Redonda (The Round House) is our holiday home situated on the magical Quinta da Saudade where I spent my childhood and continue to visit. The villa is very spacious and situated slightly away from the main group of villas so offers our guests complete privacy.
It has wireless internet and air-conditioning throughout
It has an entrance hall/dining-room, a good-size sitting room, a twin bedroom and a newly renovated en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, WC, sink with storage, electric towel rail and wall heater. The bathroom looks out onto the newly planted olive trees.
The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, double sink, microwave oven, electric oven with eye level grill, and an electric hob. It is very well equipped.
The large and circular sitting-room has a television receiving English, Portuguese and other satellite channels, a DVD player and a digital radio. For Winter occupation, there is a good stove/open fire. There is a large comfortable sofa and chairs and a table for dinner which is perfect for having cosy dinners in front of the during the winter evenings. There is a library with books to suit all tastes and a good selection of board games and music DVDs.
The sitting room has French doors leading out to the fifty metre long garden. There is a large circular tiled table with built-in seating and a good sized built-in barbecue. There are various tables and chairs situated throughout the garden as well as sun loungers and umbrellas. There is a beautiful orchard at the end of the garden full of orange and lemon trees with a hammock under the huge palm tree for relaxing with a cup of coffee or evening cocktail. Also on the top level of the garden are some delicious fig trees. Please help yourselves to the fruit when it is in season.
There is a laundry house at the end of the garden with a washing machine and ironing board.
The Quinta nestles in the peaceful country setting of an old hillside farm estate. It is surrounded by orange, almond and olive trees and is about forty-five minutes drive from the Airport at Faro.
The nearest beach is less than two miles away. It is a magnificent long stretch of sand, bounded by dunes, where you can escape the crowds, even in August. We are also a mile from Gale and Salgados beaches
There are two swimming pools, a children’s play area and shallow pool. The Quinta also has a tennis court, table tennis, petanque and crazy golf in the orchard. On site is a restaurant and bar in the old farmhouse which is the number one place to eat on Trip Advisor. There is a small bar opening throughout the day during high season offering snacks, ice creams and drinks.
The Riding Stables at the Quinta da Saudade have some fabulous horses that are available for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.
There are attractive country walks in the vicinity and there is a wetlands nature reserve nearby with a wealth of bird and plant life not commonly found in the UK. Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Alpine Swift, Bee Eater, Red Necked Night Jar, Azure Winged Magpie and more.
Bedding and towels are provided but not towels for the beach or pools.
The villa is for two people. An extra bed or cot can be put in for a child or baby at an extra cost.
The villa rental is inclusive of maid service and utilities. If you are staying in the villa between November and mid-April, you will be charged for electricity and logs. This is when we charge a basic rent for the villa.

Bookings are on a weekly basis from Thursday to Thursday, but if your holiday has to start on specific days, please let me know – we can be flexible.
Winter bookings: We accept bookings throughout the year. The villa has all sorts of methods of making it cosy and warm. There is a log fire in the sitting room together with an air-conditioning unit that pumps out hot air. There is a radiator in the dining room. There is another air-conditioning unit in the bedroom and the beds have electric blankets. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and a wall heater. There are also portable heaters. The villa is fully double-glazed.

VILLA 5A, QUINTA DA SAUDADE

The Quinta da Saudade is a small privately owned estate, nestling into the side of a valley with orange, almond and lemon trees. There are two pools, a children’s play area, a tennis court and a restaurant/bar that has been converted from the original farmhouse building.
There are riding stables at the Quinta with fabulous horses that can be taken out for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.
VILLA 5A QUINTA DA SAUDADE is air-conditioned and overlooks the upper pool with views towards the sea. This villa has internet access.
The main bedroom has beds with zip and link mattresses which give you the choice of a superking double or two singles. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is a choice of both summer and winter duvets and electric blankets for winter use.
The sitting room/dining room has a wood-burning stove for winter months, satellite television and a video recorder.
The bathroom is tiled throughout with a bath, shower and WC.
The villa has a beautiful fully equipped kitchen with marble work surfaces has recently been installed. It has a fridge freezer, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and electric kettle amongst its equipment.
Leading from the sitting room is a small terrace overlooking the Quinta’s top pool and to the side is a sheltered terrace. The roof is extremely spacious and can be used for sunbathing.
The Quinta is within each reach of wonderful un-crowded beaches and restaurants. You can enjoy long walks, bird watching or a round of golf at the nearby Salgados Golf Course.
There are no steps to negotiate at Villa 5a Quinta DA Saudade!
The villa also has a wall safe to protect your valuables. There is a linen change at the end of the week as well as all linens and towels. Clients are asked to provide their own beach towels.
The rent also includes the use of all the amenities at the Quinta, except for a charge for the tennis court. Clients will be charged for logs and electricity during the Winter months only.

VILLA MALINDI
Villa Malindi is a six bedroom villa with its own heated pool just a short fifteen-minute walk to the beach. Set in a quiet residential area, it is in a central position for the restaurants, bars and shops of Praia da Oura
The villa has recently been refurbished and modernized throughout. Accommodation consists of two double bedrooms and four twin bedrooms, one having an en-suite bathroom. There two shower rooms and a further full bathroom.
There is air-conditioning in the house
The villa has two sitting/dining rooms. The main sitting room has satellite television, DVD player and CD player. There is internet in the villa.
The kitchen is well-equipped and has a microwave and dishwasher amongst its appliances. The villa has the added benefit of an additional kitchenette. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
The villa has a beautiful pool and there is an outside shower and WC. There is off-street parking as well. Villa Malindi has maid service five days a week and with all linens provided. There is a safe and telephone.
Praia Da Oura is famous for the “Strip”, a long avenue with a wide selection of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. This makes Praia Da Oura suitable for all types of holidays, whether you are looking for a peaceful break on a golden beach or nightclubs till dawn!
There is a good selection of golf courses within a short drive and water slide parks and a zoo marine for the children.

CASA DE VILAMOURA
Casa de Vilamoura is located in a quiet and central location in Vilamoura close to Pinhal golf course with super wireless internet
The villa has one king-size bedroom, one queen bedroom and a twin bedroom. They all have smart televisions. There are two bathrooms.
The sitting room has air-conditioning and a fireplace for the cooler months.
The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher and washing machine amongst the usual appliances.
There is a private pool in the pretty garden with a barbecue and furniture for outside dining. There are views of the golf course.
There is free parking.
There is a lovely selection of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets within walking distance and the stunning Marina is a fifteen minute walk or five minutes by car.

The Quinta da Saudade is a small British-run estate of privately-owned villas occupying approximately twenty-four acres about five miles west of Albufeira. Nestling in the peaceful country setting of an old hillside farm estate and set amid orange, almond and olive trees, the Quinta is about forty-five minutes drive from the Airport at Faro.
The nearest beach, less than two miles away, is a magnificent long stretch of sand, bounded by dunes, where it is always possible to escape the crowds, even in August.
There are two swimming pools, a children’s play area and pool, tennis court, restaurant and bar, mini-golf course, table tennis, and petanque.
There are Riding Stables at the Quinta with fabulous horses that can be taken out for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.
This particular villa 3B Quinta Da Saudade has air-conditioning.
Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with en-suite shower room and one twin bedroom with a further bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a microwave, toaster, juicer, coffee maker, washing machine and a full range of saucepans, cutlery and crockery.
The sitting/dining room has satellite television and a stereo. For winter months, there is a wood-burning stove.
The villa 3B Quinta Da Saudade has a large roof terrace that has sun loungers, table and chairs. There is also a barbecue. There is a breakfast terrace built to the side of the villa.
The rent also includes the use of all the amenities at the Quinta, except for a charge for the tennis court. Logs and electricity are charged as extras during the Winter months only.

VILLA MATCAR
Villa Matcar is a luxury four bedroom villa, sleeping a total of eleven, just three miles from Albufeira. The villa is surrounded by Sir Cliff Richard’s vineyards and open countryside with views to the sea and it is ideally situated for a peaceful holiday but is still within easy reach of beaches, entertainment and sport.
The Algarve Shopping Centre is approximately a quarter of a mile away. The center has a multi-screen cinema, thirty-two restaurants and bars and numerous shops.
Accommodation consists of two double bedrooms (one has a king size bed), one twin bedroom and one family bedroom. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning and heaters for the cooler winter months. There is one bathroom, two shower rooms and a separate cloakroom.
The sitting room is spacious and has a real fire, satellite television, video player, DVD player and CD player. There are plenty of board games and DVDs and in addition the villa has a table tennis table and full sized pool table.
The Villa Matcar has internet access.
The kitchen is well-equipped and has a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave amongst its appliances.
The pool is surrounded by extensive sunny terraces and play areas. It has a fully walled and gated pool area with child proof locks. The pool has a solar cover keeping the pool at approximately 27-28 degrees.
There is a fresh water outside shower. There is a large covered barbecue area with outside fridge and furniture for al fresco dining. There is a large roof terrace which runs the length of the villa.
There is maid service throughout the week.

CASA COLINA
Casa da Colina (The House on The Hill) is a three-bedroom air-conditioned villa on the magical Quinta da Saudade with its own heated pool. It is fifteen-minute drive from Albufeira. It is a traditional Algarve style house in a unique position with magical views overlooking Gale beach to the front, beautiful countryside to the right and the mountains of Monchique in the distance.
The accommodation consists of a beautiful sitting room having an unusual beamed ceiling and an Algarve style stone fireplace together with a wood-burning stove. The colourful soft furnishings reflect the courtyard garden outside. There is a small separate dining room comfortably seating six or eight people. The kitchen shows off the hand-painted Algarve tiles and consists of a large double gas cooker, microwave and large fridge. An outer kitchen houses a dishwasher, washing machine and a small fridge for cooling bottles.
The master bedroom, with its king-sized bed, enjoys spectacular views. It has its own dressing room and bathroom en suite. There are two further bedrooms downstairs. The pink bedroom has two twin beds with recently refurbished en suite bathroom . The blue bedroom is smaller and can have two small single beds for children or can be made up as a double bed as required – this room uses the third downstairs attractively tiled blue shower room. There is a further cloakroom. All bedrooms have the advantage of air conditioning.
Additionally, there is a fourth bedroom suite having its own staircase and let as an ‘extra’ making a four-bedroom house. This has its own bathroom, sitting room and small kitchenette – the views from the windows upstairs are stunning! There is an additional charge for the use of the upstairs.
The house overlooks the swimming pool, which can be heated in the cooler months, and the courtyard garden is a delight at all times of year especially in the Spring when the freesias abound. There is a built-in gas barbecue on the terrace. The house has great charm being built in a semi-bungalow style with a pantile roof. The house offers total privacy and sits on its own land amounting to in excess of an acre. In the garden grow olive, carob, almond, pomegranate, fig trees and many other exotic treats. The addition of a petanque pitch is fun. There is also a table tennis table.
There is now a safety swimming pool surround that can be erected on request – this is not in use under normal circumstances but of course is essential when young children are using the house.
The Villa Colina is situated six miles west of Albufeira close to the famous village of Guia where you may sample the delicious chicken piri-piri from one of its many typical Algarvean restaurants. The villa is approached through the ‘Pineapple Palm’ entrance leading to the well-known Quinta da Saudade estate. It must be pointed out that this is open to the public but persons using Casa da Colina are not eligible to use the communal swimming pools unless invited. On the other hand, the tennis court is available at any time. The Restaurant, open six days a week during the summer months and serves a good variety of food. Weekly barbecues are held on a Saturday night in the summer, which are great fun for the family – persons using Casa da Colina Villa will be most welcome but booking is essential.
Since 2004 the new Marina in Albufeira opened – although the colours of this new venture are not to everyone’s taste this must be an overall asset with the addition of many new restaurants and trips to the caves, boats to hire, etc.
Maria, the maid, works a 5-and-a-half-day week excluding Bank Holidays, making the beds, washing up and generally tidying up the villa. Her husband is the gardener who comes in twice a week.
On arrival at the house there will be a food parcel provided with enough food in the fridge for your first breakfast with wine and water also supplied.
Due to weight restrictions when flying Beach Towels are now provided.
The house is now fully equipped with WIFI/internet.
Although both the beach and the shops are a good walk away, a car is essential.

CASA AMIZADE (10A), QUINTA DA SAUDADE
Casa Amizade at the Quinta da Saudade is a newly refurbished, two bedroom, air conditioned villa nestling on the hillside of Quinta da Saudade, reputed to be the longest established private estate on the Algarve. It is just fifteen minutes west of Albufeira and forty five minutes from Faro Airport.
Renovated in 2016, Casa Amizade (Villa 10a) enjoys countryside views across the valley to the west and south to the sea.
Accommodation consists of two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and one with two singles. They share a walk-in shower room.
The sitting room has a television, DVD player, radio and MP3 player. There is a log burner for the cooler months. Doors lead out to a terrace complete with table and chairs and a well-equipped stone barbeque, shaded by means of a traditional terracotta tiled canopy. The villa has internet access.
The kitchen is well-equipped and amongst the usual appliances is a dishwasher.
The Quinta da Saudade is a hillside farm estate of privately owned villas set amongst pomegranate, orange and olive groves with its own restaurant, bar, two swimming pools, one of which has a separate shallow area for smaller children, riding stables and a tennis court. The Quinta also has mini-golf, a children’s play area, table tennis and petanque.
There are many beautiful beaches within a short drive and the Salgados golf club is a few minutes’ drive away
All linen and towels are included. Logs and electricity are charged as extra from November to March.

CASA AMENDOEIRA (7A), QUINTA DA SAUDADE
Casa Amendoeira at the Quinta da Saudade is a pretty two-bedroom fully air-conditioned villa situated on the small privately-owned Quinta da Saudade, a mature development occupying twenty-four acres in a peaceful country setting amongst orange, almond and olive trees about five miles west of Albufeira. The Quinta overlooks farmland and the marshes of Pera where there is a wetlands nature reserve with an abundance of birdlife. The Salgados golf course is only a few minutes away.
The Quinta da Saudade has two swimming pools, one large pool with a separate shallow end for smaller children and a quieter kidney-shaped pool set in beautiful gardens close to Casa Amendoeira. In addition, there is a tennis court, mini golf, petanque, table tennis and a children’s play area with its own paddling pool and for meal times, the original farmhouse has been converted into an independently run bar and restaurant that is open at lunchtime and in the evenings. There is also a poolside bar that serves light meals throughout the day and holds weekly barbecues during the Summer season. The riding stables at the Quinta have a fabulous selection of horses and ponies for hacks and lessons.
The accommodation at Amendoeira consists of two twin bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the second bedroom has a separate full bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and coffee maker and there is also a separate utility room with an automatic washing machine. The sitting room is tastefully furnished with soft lighting, television, DVD player, CD/cassette player, iPod docking station, wood-burning stove, electric radiators and heaters making it ideal for winter occupation.
The villa has air-conditioning and internet access
The villa has two terraces, one leading from the sitting room with table and chairs, parasol, barbecue and sun loungers. Both have wonderful views across open farmland towards the sea.
The nearest beach, about 1½ miles away, has long stretches of sand bounded by dunes with a beach bar and is never crowded, even in August and evenfurther along the coast there are pretty sandy coves, hidden amongst stunning Algarve rocks and cliffs, with clear rock pools to explore.
The fishing towns of Albufeira and Armacao de Pera are about ten minutes drive away with plenty of restaurants, shops, markets and nightlife. Closer to the Quinta is the old village of Guia that has numerous inexpensive restaurants where chicken piri-piri is a mouth-watering speciality.
Prices include maid service several days during the week, electricity and gas, linen and towels. The rental of cots and high chairs are extra.
Electricity and wood are charged as extras during the winter months.

CASA DOUGLAS
Casa Douglas is an imposing luxury six bedroom villa with private heated pool, set over two levels. It is on the Quinta da Saudade which is situated between Albufeira and Armacao de Pera and a forty minute drive from Faro Airport.
The villa is spacious, beautifully furnished and offers complete privacy.
There are three queen sized bedrooms on the first floor, all with en-suite bathrooms. There is a further queen size bedroom with ensuite on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms in a self-contained area of the villa, sharing a shower room. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor.
The sitting room is on the ground floor and has views of the pool. There is a fireplace for the cooler months and a room off the sitting room with a full sized pool table.
The kitchen is large and has a dining area. There is a separate laundry room with a washer dryer.
The garden is spacious. The pool measures 6×12 metres and has an automatic hard roller cover. It is heated and lit at night. It is set within a beautiful west facing sunset terrace with views out to the sea. There are ample sun loungers and tables, chairs and sofas
The barbecue area has a large gas grill, a bar with stools, fridge and ice maker.
There is a private tennis court and racquets and balls are available
The house has an alarm system for when the house is vacated. There is parking for up to 4 cars in the front courtyard which is secured from a small track by electric gates.
This property has large stone steps leading to the pool area so care should be taken for mobility impaired and young children.
There is no wheelchair access or ramps to the pool and barbecue area, although the main house is accessible from the parking area and courtyard.
There is a daily maid service and a weekly linen change. The villa has wireless internet and there are televisions in the sitting room, master bedroom and ground floor double.
There are supermarkets and some top restaurants within a short distance. There is a riding stable within a minute’s walk where you go on a slow hack or a gallop on the beach. Lessons are also offered. There are a number of beautiful unspoiled beaches within a 5 minute drive.
Casa Douglas is a great house for a large, or double family holiday in a luxury setting with great facilities and access to one of the best areas of the Algarve.
