CASA BELA VISTA (3A), QUINTA DA SAUDADE
The Quinta da Saudade…..“a beautiful place to stay”
– Nick Knowles, BBC Holiday Hit Squad
Casa Bela Vista is situated on the beautiful Quinta da Saudade and benefits from having both a quiet location with wonderful views whilst being only minutes from all the amenities. The villa has air-conditioning and internet access.
Refurbished in 2023, the Villa has new tiled floors throughout and a restful pastel decor. The accommodation comprises a spacious living room, two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, a large secluded balcony and a massive roof terrace.
There is a wood-burning fire for those Autumn and Winter evenings, when it can get a little chilly, and a television with satellite receiver for the occasional evening in or to keep the children occupied. There is also a video player and a music centre.
The double doors open onto the private balcony and provide a beautiful view across the valley. Walk through the doors from the living room and you will find yourselves on a beautiful secluded balcony with a view over the trees and across the valley to the coast beyond. Not surprisingly, this is everyone’s favourite spot for both breakfast as well as an early evening drink as the sun begins to sink below the hills. Leading down from the balcony are some steps to a path through the gardens which leads to the upper pool.
The (Casa Bela Vista) villa has a fantastic roof terrace. With a built-in barbecue and tiled dining table as well as sun loungers and a table and chairs, this is the place for lunch when you don’t want to interrupt your sun bathing. The view is magnificent, and was the reason the Villa was given its name. As the roof terrace is walled on three sides it is totally private and is, therefore, a haven of peace and tranquillity. There is a covered area to give some shade from the mid-day sun.
The Quinta da Saudade lies in a valley approximately five miles West of Albufeira and just a forty-minute drive from the airport at Faro. It is situated in open countryside surrounded by farmland and, towards the sea, a nature reserve. Naturally, the views are fantastic!
Apart from Albufeira the closest towns are Armacao de Pera to the West, and Guia to the North, both a mere three miles away. The land on which The Quinta stands was originally a fruit farm (‘Quinta’ is Portuguese for ‘farm’) and was developed some thirty years ago when the twenty-four single-storey, semi-detached villas were built to provide holiday homes for a group of mainly English owners.
The facilities on The Quinta (Casa Bela Vista) include two superb swimming pools, alongside one of which is a children’s play park with a paddling pool, swings and a slide, and for the older children (and adults) there is a crazy golf course, a petanque pitch and table tennis as well as an open sports field.
The Riding Stables at the Quinta have some fabulous horses available for hacks or lessons.
There is also a pristine all-weather tennis court which is available for guest’s use and beside the lower pool there is a pool bar which as well as being open for snacks and drinks during the summer, also hosts the Saturday Night Barbecue – always a popular event and an ideal opportunity to meet other holidaymakers. The old Farmhouse is now an excellent restaurant and bar.
The Algarve is famous for its beaches and just over a mile from The Quinta are two of the most fabulous stretches of sand in the area. Reached by foot or, more usually, by a ten-minute car ride, the beaches are almost never crowded and completely devoid of hotels or complexes.
Besides a small charge for the tennis, all the facilities on the Quinta are included in the price of the rental of the villa. Logs and electricity are charged as extras during the Winter months. The price chart for this villa is given below. Contact us today for booking it.
