Quinta da Saudade is an exclusive privately owned estate constructed around an old Portuguese farmhouse located five miles west of Albufeira and just one mile from the sea and the Salgados Golf Course.
The comprehensive facilities of the Quinta provide all of the essential ingredients for a relaxed holiday. The original farmhouse has been converted into a restaurant which, in addition to a varied a la carte menu, offers a specialist vegetarian choice.
The Quinta has two beautiful pools, a toddlers’ pool and play area, and a poolside bar offering a good range of lunchtime snacks. There is also an all weather tennis court that can be hired by the hour.
There are Riding Stables at the Quinta with fabulous horses that can be taken out for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.
Casa do Mestre is a detached villa situated on the edge of Quinta Da Saudade, a short walking distance from all the facilities but just far enough away to afford seclusion when desired.
Accommodation consists of two twin bedrooms and one bathroom. The villa sleeps a maximum of four but we can add an extra bed or cot if required. The sitting room has satellite television. There is also a radio/CD player. The kitchen has been completely re-fitted and has a microwave. The villa has a large terrace with barbecue, table, chairs and sun loungers.

All bed linen and towels are provided, but not beach towels. Maid service is provided during the week.
Logs and electricity are charged as extras during the winter months.

VILLA 7B, QUINTA DA SAUDADE
Villa 7b is situated on the Quinta da Saudade. The Quinta da Saudade is a small British-run estate of privately-owned villas. It occupies approximately twenty-four acres about five miles west of Albufeira.
The Quinta nestles in the peaceful country setting of an old hillside farm estate. It is surrounded by orange, almond and olive trees and is about forty-five minutes drive from the Airport at Faro.
The nearest beach is less than two miles away. It is a magnificent long stretch of sand, bounded by dunes, where you can escape the crowds, even in August.
There are two swimming pools, a children’s play area and shallow pool. The Quinta also has a tennis court, table tennis, petanque and crazy golf in the orchard. On site is a restaurant and bar in the old farmhouse. And there is a pool bar open throughout the day.
The Riding Stables at the Quinta da Saudade have some fabulous horses that are available for gallops across the dunes or slow hacks through the countryside.
There are attractive country walks in the vicinity and there is a wetlands nature reserve nearby with a wealth of bird and plant life not commonly found in the UK. Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Alpine Swift, Bee Eater, Red Necked Night Jar, Azure Winged Magpie and more.
Villa 7b is situated less than a minute’s walk from the top pool
Accommodation consists of a spacious double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room. All the rooms have air-conditioning.
The kitchen is fully-equipped and has an oven, dishwasher, washing machine, blender, toaster and a full range of saucepans, cutlery, and crockery.
The villa benefits from fibreoptic broadband. There are televisions in all the room with Firesticks with the most popular apps preinstalled for access using Client’s own subscriptions. There are Xbox Consoles in both bedrooms with controllers. There is a portable Bose speaker with docking station.
The villa has a sitting room with large sliding doors leading out to a terrace. In addition there is a large roof terrace with sun loungers. There is a small breakfast terrace built to the side of the villa with table and chairs with uninterrupted sea views.
The rent also includes the use of all the amenities at the Quinta, except for a charge for the tennis court. For winter months, there is a portable Galp Hotspot gas heater, electric heaters and heating from the air-conditioners. Electricity is charged as an extra during the Winter months only.
Bookings are on a weekly basis from Friday to Friday, but if your holiday must start on specific days, please let me know – we can be flexible. We look after all the Quinta da Saudade villas.

The Quinta da Saudade is a small British-run estate of privately owned villas occupying twenty-four acres just 5 miles west of Albufeira and 45 minutes drive from Faro airport.
Nestling in the peaceful country setting of an old hillside farm estate and set amid orange, almond and olive trees. The nearest beach is less than 2 miles away, with a magnificent stretch of sand, bounded by dunes where it’s always possible to escape the crowds, even in August. A range of beach bars and restaurants can be found along this long stretch of beach.
There are two swimming pools, a children´s play area, tennis court, restaurant and bar, mini-golf course, table tennis, a pool bar which is open in high season and petanque. There are riding stables with a lovely choice of horses for all abilities that can be taken out for gallops across the dunes and beach or slow hacks through the countryside.
Nearby there is a splendid 18-hole golf course where discounts may be available. There are many attractive country walks and a wetlands nature reserve nearby with a wealth of bird and plant life not commonly found in the UK such as Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Alpine Swift and many more. Also within 10 minutes are major attractions such as Zoomarine Water and Sea Life Park and Algarve Shopping Centre.
Villa 4B has recently undergone refurbishment including new electrics, painting throughout, a new bathroom and newly tiled roof terrace with new pergola, barbecue kitchen and fridge, terrace furniture and sun-loungers. It has new beds and mattresses. Towels and linen are provided. It is situated near the top pool with superb sea and countryside views.
The villa has two bedrooms, one with a new super king bed and the other with new twin beds. There is a wall safe in the main bedroom. The accommodation can be increased to three bedrooms and two bathrooms if the independent 4B Studio is booked at the same time. See 4B Studio for further information.
There is a new bathroom which includes a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rail and heater.
The villa is air conditioned (hot and cold) throughout and has high speed internet and WIFI and has a UK VPN allowing streaming of UK content.
The sitting room has large doors leading onto a lovely sun terrace with a large built-in tiled seat, table and chairs. Adequate shade is provided with a fully adjustable awning. The terrace has both countryside and sea views with wonderful sunsets. There is a lockable side gate.
In the sitting room, there are two comfortable sofas, dining room table and chairs, coffee tables, standard lamp, TV, iPod dock music, games and books.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with a large fridge/freezer, gas cooker, oven, dishwasher, electric kettle, microwave, toaster and is well stocked with crockery and cutlery for all your self-catering needs. The washing machine is situated within its own outdoor enclosure directly outside the kitchen door and is shared with 4B Studio. The gas hot water boiler is outside the villa to suit modern standards.
The large rooftop sun terrace has magnificent sea and countryside views. There is a pergola to provide much needed shade, with a large patio table and chairs, built-in tiled seating, an extra tiled table, built-in barbecue and kitchen area including a rooftop fridge ideal for al-fresco dining. There are also chairs and sun-loungers with cushions for all available within two cushion boxes. Lighting is available on the roof terrace to enjoy warm summer evenings and spectacular sunsets.
There is a parking directly outside the Villa.
Villa 4B rental is inclusive of maid service during the week, hot water and cooking gas. Electricity is inclusive, except for November through to March.
The rent also includes the use of all the amenities at the Quinta except for a small charge for the tennis courts.

VILLA AGUA
Villa Água is a spacious and modern air-conditioned five bedroom villa located in the fishing village of Olhos de Agua near Albufeira.
Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the ground floor with doors opening out onto the garden. There are two further double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the first floor with doors leading out onto a terrace with sea views There is a further double bedroom and a twin on this floor that share a bathroom, also leading out to a terrace. All the bedrooms have televisions with satellites. There is a cloakroom on the ground floor.
There is a large living area which has a comfortable seating area, a large dining area and a pool table. French windows lead out to the garden and pool area which is surrounded by lawn and flower beds.
The kitchen has all the usual appliances you would expect to find in a villa of this standard including a washing machine dishwasher and microwave. There is a large American fridge with ice-maker.
The pool is kidney shaped and is 9.5 x 4.5 metres. There is an outside shower. There is also a wonderful terrace with enormous built-in barbecue and table and chairs for al fresco dining. At the end of the garden is a pool house which has a football table and a table tennis table. There are swings and slides on the lawn.
There are a good selection of supermarkets, restaurants and bars in the village along with a fish market and pharmacy etc.
The beach is about 800 metres from the house and there are other beaches to explore just five minutes by car or bus.
The Villa Agua is just three kilometres from Albufeira and Praia da Oura’s Strip.

Casa Alegre is a pretty two bedroom air-conditioned villa on the very popular, small and privately owned Quinta da Saudade, a mature development set within the grounds of an old Portuguese farmhouse. There are lovely views across open farmland to the beautiful sand dunes and beach of Salgados, a mile away. The nearest big town is Albufeira, where there is plenty of night-life if needed!
The Quinta is an extremely popular venue for both family holidays and quiet out of season breaks. Casa Alegre is situated on the edge of the estate yet it is only a few minutes stroll from the Quinta facilities. These include two swimming pools, a tennis court, mini golf course, petanque and children’s play area with its own paddling pool. There is a poolside bar serving a selection of lunchtime snacks and an independently run restaurant and bar situated in the farmhouse that is open in the evenings. The riding stables have some fabulous horses for hacks or riding lessons for both adults and children.
The accommodation consists of two bedrooms, one with a king-size double bed, the other with twin beds and two bathrooms, one en-suite. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, large fridge freezer and fully automatic washing machine. In the sitting room, there is satellite television with video, a CD/cassette player and a good selection of books, games and videos (including children’s). There is a wood stove for winter lets.
The villa has an upper and lower terrace with built-in barbecue, sun loungers and reclining chairs as well as a large roof terrace.
The Algarve is famous for its golf courses, beautiful coastline and beaches. The nearest golf to the villa is the course at Salgados that is just a few minutes away. The choice of beaches is endless, from long sandy stretches backed with dunes to small rocky coves, some with little beach bars where you can have a leisurely lunch of barbecued sardines with a glass or two of local wine. There is a famous wetlands nature reserve nearby with an array of beautiful birds.
Prices include maid service, electricity and gas, linen and towels (except beach towels). The rental of cots and hire chairs is extra.
Prices for Winter lets between November and the end of February are subject to availability and length of let. Logs and electricity are charged as extras during these months.

Villa 2A is a two bedroom air-conditioned villa situated on the Quinta da Saudade situated just ten minutes west of Albufeira and just forty five minutes drive from Faro Airport.

The villa has wonderful views along the valley where apart from the scenery it is possible to see many interesting birds and watch the horses leaving on the regular rides across the country side or down to the beach, which is about a mile away.
Accommodation consists of one double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom and a separate bathroom. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen with washing machine and microwave. The sitting room is equipped with a log fire, satellite television, a DVD player and iPod speakers.
The villa has three separate outside areas to sit or sunbathe. The large side terrace has a built-in barbecue, covered seating area, table and chairs and sun loungers. The roof terrace has tables, chairs and sun-loungers and stunning views across the valley. To the front of the villa is a terrace again with outside furniture.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS VILLA HAS 38 STEPS LEADING TO ITS ENTRANCE SO IS UNSUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES
The Quinta is ideal for families and has two swimming pools, a separate children’s paddling pool, a tennis court and riding stables where you can have a calm walk through the mountains or a gallop across the dunes. There is also petanque and a table tennis table. There is a small pool bar serving a selection of refreshments and a restaurant and bar in the old farmhouse that is open during the evenings.
There is a beautiful sandy beach stretching for three kilometres just a two minute drive away and there are plenty of other attractions for all the family including Zoomarine, water parks and golf courses. The Salgados wetlands, which can be seen from the villa, have a plethora of migrating and interesting birds
There is maid service three times during the week and wireless internet that is available in both the farmhouse bar and the Quinta Office.

Jardim do Lobo consists of two beautifully renovated four-bedroom villas both sharing their own enormous private pool, tennis court and large garden. VILLA LAGOS
Villa Lagos is a modern 10 bedroom air-conditioned villa with a large private pool situated just outside of Lagos. This villa has its own wine cellar where it is possible to arrange private wine tastings, a fully equipped gym, an outdoor Jacuzzi and a sauna. The landscaped garden surrounding the villa looks especially attractive when floodlit in the evenings, with the cascading Jacuzzi feeding into the swimming pool.
The villa has a computer with wireless internet and an iPod docking station. There is an alarm that is linked to a central security company.
There is a pool table and a table tennis table in this 10 bedroom villa.
Each of the ten bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom and is individually furnished and has either a private balcony or terrace. In addition, each bedroom has a satellite television, a mini-bar, telephone and safe. On the lower floor are three twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. On the middle floor are two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with a balcony with mountain view and the other with access to the exterior. The immediate surrounding area of Villa Lagos has a good choice of restaurants, bars and extensive night life as well a wide range of sports amenities and activities to choose from. Golf is available at the nearby courses of Boavista, Palmares and Parque da Floresta, as well as others further afield; whilst the sunny Algarve coast is the perfect location for practising water-sports from surfing, water skiing and windsurfing off the beach, to sailing, diving, deep-sea fishing, motor and sailboat cruises, centred round the bustling local marina. Alternatively, jeep safaris, horseback riding, tennis, clay pigeon shooting, lawn bowling or micro-light flying can also be arranged.
There are various restaurants, shops and banks within a thirty minute walk or five minute drive. Meia Praia beach is a thirty five minute walk or five minute drive or Porto de Mós beach is a thirteen minutes drive.
Included in the rental is daily maid service.

VILLA BELA VISTA
Villa Bela Vista is a 4 bedroom air-conditioned villa situated in the hills just above Almancil, boasting spectacular views over the Algarvian coast. Set on 3,000 square metres of land, this beautiful villa ensures total privacy. It is located six kilometres from the beach. The villa sleeps seven people plus two babies.
The villa is completely disabled and wheelchair friendly.
Accommodation of 4 bedroom villa consists of two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, all with ceiling fans to provide comfort during the hot nights at the Algarvian coast. The main bedroom has double French windows leading onto a large terraced balcony with views to the coast. The second double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is a further bathroom. The twin has double French doors leading onto the garden.
The kitchen is well equipped and has, amongst its appliances, a washing machine with built in dryer, a dishwasher and a microwave. There is a large dinning room table with views over the valley.
Bela Vista has digital satellite television, music systems and an extensive collection of books and games.
There is a gorgeous swimming pool (9.50 x 4.50 metres) with underwater night-lights, enclosed lawned areas that are particularly safe for children and a child’s swing. A pool lift is in place by the pool.
Facing south to the coast and set in established landscaped gardens, the villa gets plenty of sun and there is ample furniture outside for your comfort and relaxation. There is a large stone dining table, a games table and a built in barbecue. The property has extensive covered terraces, ideal for the al-fresco lifestyle of the Algarve summers.
Maid service is provided twice a week. Bed linen is changed once a week and towels are changed twice a week. Clients are asked to provide their own beach towels. There is under floor heating for the cooler months that is charged as an extra.
Faro Airport is a fifteen-minute drive and Europe’s finest golf courses and less than five minutes away. There are supermarkets nearby and restaurants ranging from Portuguese, French, Brazilian, German, and Italian cuisine. There are water slide parks, go-karting circuits, water sports, horse riding and tennis all within easy reach. The Ria Formosa natural park is not far from the villa.
The villa is suitable for wheelchairs, with a roll in shower, shower chair/WC chair, shower trolley and hand rails. There are ramps where needed for full access to get around the villa inside and out. Also the wide range of specialist equipment including battery operated pool lift, shower/commode chair, shower trolley, mobile transfer hoists and mobile massage table. A ramped van for wheelchair users that has a heavy powered wheelchair is also available. An English speaking GP is half a kilometre away and the nearest A&E is ten minutes by car.
Prices include airport transfers in a wheelchair adapted vehicle and the use of a complementary wheelchair adapted car, a Renault Kangoo. There is one one with three seats plus one wheelchair and another with four seats plus one wheelchair.

VILLA CARLOS
Villa Carlos is a three bedroom air-conditioned villa with private heated pool in Vale do Lobo. It is situated at the end of a road with no passing traffic and has views over the tennis club. It is approximately ten minutes walk to the beach and the Vale do Lobo golf courses and restaurants.
The villa has just been completely renovated to include new furnishings, tiling, kitchens and bathrooms.
Villa Carlos has wireless internet.
Accommodation consists of one twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a further two twin bedrooms and bathroom. The bathrooms each include double basins, baths and showers. There are an additional two pull out beds so the villa could sleep a total of eight if required. There is also a separate cloakroom.
The sitting room is very large with comfortable sofas and there is a dining table which seats eight. There are two large flat screen televisions in the villa with full UK Sky and a DVD player
The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave amongst its appliances.
Heating and air-conditioning are included in the price and there is also a travel cot and high chair available.
The pool is surrounded by a terracotta terrace and sun loungers. There is a covered dining area with dining table and a built in barbecue. The terrace leads onto the lawned area around the tennis courts, which is a great safe play area for children.
There is a large private roof terrace upstairs outside the master bedroom.
